Dr. Anthony Smatt received his bachelor of science from Valdosta State University. He is originally from Jamaica, where he participated in research work on manatees and marine life before receiving his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in 2002.

Dr. Smatt has a special interest in emergency medicine and ultrasound. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Debra Szpicek, and their three children.
