Flannery Animal Hospital’s veterinarians and technicians are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our specially trained teams are prepared to take any action necessary in order to handle even the most serious emergencies.
Emergency Care
The emergencies that we see most often include bleeding, breathing problems, burns, diarrhea, fractured bones, heart failure, heatstroke, inability to pass urine, near drowning, pets hit by cars, poisoning, seizures, shock and vomiting. Our services provide prompt relief from other mishaps or ailments that may not be life-threatening but are painful or cause concern.
Urgent Care
Pets requiring urgent care may be suffering from failure of one or more organs, such as the heart, lungs, kidneys, liver and brain. These pets often need extensive nursing care or continuous monitoring and stabilization prior to or after surgery. Such care may involve supplementary nutrition, diagnostic testing, blood transfusions and management of metabolic disturbances.

Referring Veterinarians
When their offices are closed, many primary care veterinarians refer clients to Flannery Animal Hospital for emergency and urgent care. When a patient is referred to us, we communicate constantly with the referring veterinarian, from admission to discharge.
We believe that collaboration is essential to the care and successful treatment of every patient. Flannery Animal Hospital respects the relationship between referring veterinarians and their clients. After treatment has been completed, we direct these patients back to their respective primary care veterinarians for follow-up and ongoing care. |
